Roastin Records was born out of the love for vinyl records. We have a record shop situated in Deluxe coffeeworks in sunny Cape Town, South Africa. Besides from selling a selection of handpicked new and used vinyl we also function as an independent record label and focus on local relases.

In the heart of Cape Town’s bohemian Observatory, it is run by the legendary Fred “Spider”. The shop has been voted one the best record shop in the country. You will find an incredible selection of rare blues, jazz, free jazz, Blue Note, Prestige, Chess, deep funk, boogie, 12", Salsoul, Prelude, soul, 60's and 70's rock, hip-hop, house, breaks, 80's to 2000's maxi, punk, reggae, ska, dub, blues, rhythm' n' blues, rock'n'roll, disco, Latin, Kwaito, Afro-beat, Afro-Synth, Bubble-gum and other South Africa jazz or zulu flavors.

Great store packed to the ceiling with music of all genres, in all formats. Good selection of all kinds of dance music but lots of other genres to choose from as well.
