Mixed Up Records is an independent second hand record shop based in the west end of Glasgow. We are situated in Otago Lane, a stone’s throw away from Glasgow University. We stock thousands of rare and not so rare vinyl records, CDs and DVDs and, with new stock being added daily it’s worth a regular visit.All genres of music are catered for, from classic 60s and 70s rock & prog to rare classical and free jazz. We’d like to think that any lover of music would not leave empty handed, even on a 1 pound budget!

Monorail Music opened in December 2002 after a sometimes epic three year long journey in search of a location and a way to make it all work. Glasgow then was a vibrant music city with something important missing, a great record shop, which we optimistically felt that we could provide. Operating from modest premises in a former Mexican restaurant, we’ve tried our best to provide the kind of record shop that we would like to visit on our travels.

Our shop is on Howard Street in Glasgow. We’ve been here for 20 years selling Records and Music Equipment. We make music ourselves so we understand what’s really needed to get great sounds and record them, whether it’s for yourself or for the world to hear. If you're in the area, come and see us.
